Dr. Desirea Scott is the proud owner of Denver Orthodontics & Dental Lounge, which she founded in 2025 with a mission to provide personalized, high-quality orthodontic care to a growing and diverse community. She brings a wealth of expertise and compassion to her role, shaped by her academic journey at Howard University College of Dentistry, where she earned both her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and Certificate in Orthodontics. Her time at Howard instilled in her a deep commitment to clinical excellence and community-centered care—values that continue to guide her practice today.
Dr. Scott was drawn to the Denver area by its vibrant energy and inclusive spirit. After spending time in the community and recognizing the need for accessible, transformative dental care, she knew it was the perfect place to build her practice and make a lasting impact.
Her passion for orthodontics is rooted in her belief that a confident smile can transform not just a person’s appearance, but their self-esteem and overall quality of life. Whether it’s watching a child light up after getting their braces off or helping an adult finally feel comfortable smiling in photos, she finds fulfillment in each patient’s unique journey. One unforgettable moment that confirmed she was in the right profession came when a patient tearfully shared they could finally smile confidently after decades of insecurity—a testament to the power of her work.
Professionally, Dr. Scott is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the American Dental Association (ADA), and proudly serves on the board of the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists (RMSO). She is especially passionate about clear aligner therapy, airway-focused orthodontics, and interdisciplinary treatment planning, always striving to create solutions that are not only beautiful but also functionally sound and health-conscious.
Outside the office, Dr. Scott enjoys a rich personal life filled with adventure and connection. She shares her home with her lovable dog Theo—who may occasionally greet visitors at the clinic—and finds joy in fitness, traveling, and exploring new cultures. She is also a dedicated community advocate and proud member of the Junior League of Denver.
